::paris part deux::

i've always wanted to take a last minute trip. i used to carry my passport in my backpack, thinking that i could just skip off somewhere on whim. despite some of the obvious technicalities (no car, little money, being too young to rent a hotel room), i always remained hopeful that one day i would be able to take this imagined trip. in february of this year, i researched tickets 2 weeks before my school's february break and found tickets to paris. with very little hesitation i entered my credit card number in to expedia and a few minutes later i realized i was about to be on my way. it honestly was a dream that i watched unfold into reality. in paris, i stayed in the heart of the city, at an adorable black and white styled hotel. each morning i ate french bread and nutella and then roamed around the city going to museums, flea markets, yarn stores and tiny shops. perhaps the best part of my parisian experience was that i did it on my own and found my way there and back to my home in nyc. the trip inspired me to travel more outside of the country as well as inside.
